Born & raised in Houston, Texas, As a child Cord J would travel with his mother to sing at many places including the church. This is where Cord J developed his love & passion for music. His goal is to create inspirational music to help people get through their pain. He wants to use his voice as a tool to become famous while glorifying God. Singing Gospel music is his life. His hobbies include making beats, singing, & hanging out with friends and family. Though he is a Gospel artist, the single “911” doesn’t sound exactly like your typical Gospel track. Cord J was able to mix the “new wave” sound with Gospel, which makes an incredible blend. By far one of the best Gospel tracks I’ve heard in years. This single also defines what a lot of people feel is missing from R&B. That great quality sound that made some fall in love with music to begin with, is in this track.
